Samuel Miller

Samuel Miller is an economist based in Sydney, Australia who has worked on numerous Cost-Benefit Analyses for Regional and Community Development, Water, Roads, and other Infrastructure, Natural Disaster and Recovery, and Agriculture, primarily in Regional New South Wales. His experiences convinced him that more could be done to uplift the public’s confidence that CBAs are being done in a way that truly maximises social welfare and takes advantage of the power of Monte Carlo techniques. RUBICS was therefore developed in Sam’s spare time to be a tool that encourages transparent, reproducible, and consistent analyses.

Samuel studied Resource Economics at the University of Sydney, completed a Graduate Diploma in Economics and Geography at the University of New England and is currently completing his Masters of Economics at the same institution.

In his spare time, Sam plays Dungeons and Dragons and Genesys, and multiple board games, which goes some way to explaining his obsession with rolling dice and generating random numbers.

Feel free to connect with Sam on Linkedin and let him know that you’re part of the simulation.
