Hello World: RUBICS debuts to version 0.1.0!

This week RUBICS v.01.0 BETA debuted, what an incredible milestone! I can’t tell you how relieved I feel to be able to say that I’ve come this far. This is by far one of the most rewarding projects I’ve worked on so far.

For those of you who have reached out and offered support or expressed interest in the project, I can’t thank you enough. Your feedback and engagement will make RUBICS even better for it’s full version 1.0 release! If you know somebody who might be interested in what RUBICS has to offer, please forward them a link to the site or the launch video.

Some of you may be wondering how you can give RUBICS BETA a test run now. You can head over to the program home on GitHub and download all the files (at minimum you will need RUBICS.py, cpi.csv, econ_codes.csv, and exchr.csv). Then you can run the python code from your command line or your preferred IDE (I use PyCharm Community Edition).

Version 1.0 of RUBICS will be released with a .exe file and packaged files so that you can launch it from your desktop just like any other program. For those of you who don’t know, this is my first time creating a project or even coding in Python before, so I’m sure there are plenty of rough edges to sand off.

Over the next few weeks and months I’ll be working hard to get RUBICS ready for its full release with new videos and updates here, so don’t look away!

And questions or feedback are welcome to info@econrubics.com, and I’ll see you next time!

Signing off from the simulation,

Sam
